We take the guess work out of drilling!
We utilize known information from Queensland Globe (a Natural Resources database) and specialised advice from an experienced Hydrologist.
In order to reach underground water sources, a skilled and licensed Gillco driller will complete your bore according to Australian standards.
Our Experience
Gillco Drilling has the knowledge and skill to drill through all types of ground and environmental conditions. We pride ourselves on drilling water bores at the required depth, that will function properly and safely for both your needs and the environment.
We've completed work on council contracts, irrigation bores, stock bores and domestic bores.
How Ground Water is formed
Less than 100m deep this water is found in loose sand and or gravel deposited by ancient rivers.
This is popular in and around the Toowoomba area, it's where active lava flowed over the countryside covering the formation to a depth of up to 100m. Over millions of years the Lava (Basalt) broke down to form rich black soil. A lot of Basalt remained and due to its porous nature retained water.
Chinchilla and surrounding districts sit on the Surat Basin. This is comprised of different layers including a number of water bearing formations. Depending on where you are in the Basin, water can be accessed at varying depths. Depths will vary from 300m to 2000m.
Reverse Circulation (RC) Drilling is among the most preferred method for mineral exploration work.
RC Drilling assists in the productivity and accuracy in mining jobs. It helps reduce costs, delivers fast, accurate results due to faster completion of projects and reduces the amount of hours at the drill site.
Gillco Drilling understands that each of these benefits helps to decrease exposure to any potential accidents, and reduces the burden or costs of additional site support.
